Summer’s Out, Fall is In

I am ecstatic to announce one of this issue’s Featured Artist which includes an old friend Francesco LoCastro.

I met Francesco about 10 years ago in high school and after he graduated, I had known he had curated a show at Objex Art Space in Downtown Miami, but I was sad that I found out about it a year too late…I didn’t see him again until he curated his very successful show “We’ll Make a Lover of You” at the Art Center / South Florida on Lincoln Road.

I attended the Art Center show with good friends and I had no idea it was he who was curating. It was great meeting him again, especially in such a great atmosphere he had created. The show was amazing to say the least and he shared the walls along with about 12 other great artists of the ‘Low Brow’ and ‘Pop Surrealist’ movement. I was really happy to see him and that he was succeeding within the art scene. I still remember Francesco drawing away, bored to death in Geometry class.
