Miami, November 19th, 2009 Miami based Colombian photographer and mix media artist Claudia Calle is getting ready to open her new studio in the Wynwood Art District (2722 NW 2 Ave) with a series of events that will run through out Art Basel week. October 10-12, 2008 Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic Iniciativa Colectiva is covering the first Multidisciplinary Design Conference directly from the Dominican Republic. The conference was an initiative by young and successful Dominican professionals in the fields of Graphic Design, Illustration, Advertising, Photography and Visual Communications geared toward young and emerging talent as well as new graduates within the same fields of study. This conference is the first, and so far, successful attempt for students to be exposed to future possibilities and to learn what to expect when the step into the work force (the real world). We are excited to have our first event at the amazing CIFO art space, this time presented by MasterCard & Myspace Latino. The line up is as follow: Juan E • Electro/House, Aramis • Indie/Electro, Pauer • World Dance / Alternative, Live performance by MALAYERBA • Latin Funk We have worked all week on the multimedia installation with more than 6 projectors and more than 16 screens! You will love it! The pieces by our featured artists Brian M. Viveros and Raphael Vicenzi are amazing and the amount of new artists, videos, illustration & photography is just impressive and well selected by our friends of Iniciativa Colectiva.
